A few weeks ago our friends, Danny and Erin, showed Nick and I where their secret stash of blackberry bushes are in the Presidio. They came over to our house afterward for a pierogi and halubcy party (sorry no pictures of those). I made blackberry ice cream and blackberry and apple cobbler. The apples were from our backyard. It was an all out stellar day of foraging and cooking.
